Karmelcorn moves from Sunset Plaza Mall

Most of us locals know about the “Karmelkorn Shoppe” in Norfolk. The shop opened at the Sunset Plaza Mall in 1985. In 1993, the Orange Julius franchise opened at the same location. The Karmelkorn location at the mall moved to the new site in January 2019.
Today, in 2021, this favorite popcorn store has moved from the mall to its new location at 1205 W Norfolk Avenue in Norfolk, Nebraska. They still offer the same addicting flavors and nostalgic treats! And, it’s still a family-owned business, and the new owners are Stephen and Ashley Meuret. As a small business, we make sure that every bag has a lot of time and care to ensure a tasty, satisfying snack for you.
Stephen brings some of his culinary expertise to the kitchen at Karmelcorn. His passion in the kitchen, and the fact that his family has always loved Popcorn, are evident in the product they produce. Stephen focuses on two lessons from culinary school; quality ingredients and love for your craft.
Our ingredients are only the best. We get some of the absolute best quality and tastiest Popcorn from local Nebraska farms. Our caramel is delicious, made from scratch, hand paddled in a copper kettle. Most of our reviews say it best that our Popcorn is irresistible! We have all kinds of Popcorn Flavors you can choose from:
- Karmelkorn Popcorn (the original caramel-coated flavored Popcorn).
- Cheesekorn Popcorn in White and Cheddar (real cheese flavored Popcorn).
